Watched the first 2 EPs this morning, and it’s pretty spectacular. Using the letter grade scale, an A- so far (just a few very tiny dings ...)

Hahaha, holy shit, a kindred spirit! I do this too, and really lean into it, “What’s in the box? WHAAAAATS IIIIINNNN THE BOOOOOOX???”
Like a few folks have mention, we usually just watch the next day on AMC+, ad free, but these last episodes we’ve been watching on the AMC live stream (also via AMC+), just to avoid spoilers - the internet is not safe!
I think I’d prefer to see a full production of the musical from Bob’s Burgers, Work Hard or Die Trying, Girl
Oh yeah, that was in the article I read, I did a pretty shitty job of relaying the whole idea behind the Pitt casting/dialog, and that I was referencing an article about it, duh, hahaha ... I blame it on just getting back from a trip ... and the booze.
Yeah, that seems like a pretty obvious omission, and a super fun role, and like you, I’d probably put that in the top 10 somewhere.
Maybe just “15 releases on ...” with no qualifiers :D
She was terrific in Veep, that she managed to stand out among such a highly talented cast shows just how good she was.
I know, when I first read that I thought he said he saw him sitting outside playing D&D ...
This band occupies a unique place in my head, a band I don’t listen to (unless they come up in some rando metal playlist ...), but that I also really like.
Agreed.
I want a Director’s Cut where they cut the runtime down by 1/2.
It’s a shame you had to /s your post, but I don’t blame you.
Yeah, their top 10 is pretty good, maybe Hulk or Nick Fury in a 3-way tie for #10, but totally agree, the order is a little off - if you’re talking MCU movie characters, RDJ/Iron Man pretty much __has__ to be #1.
Hahaha, yeah, it takes a while for them to finally give up, we “cut the cord” about 7 years ago, and I’m sure we had calls, emails, texts, for a couple of years - at least now it’s pretty easy to flag things as spam and send them to the void :D
Ha! You’re not wrong :D There was a service, where the cancellation link was not only buried but also a super tiny font with barely any contrast vs. the background.
I’ve wondered about Apple as well. AppleTV+ has some terrific original content (Severance was stellar), but not much back catalog, so when you’re doing the “How much for how much?” value comparison, it can look pretty weak vs. Amazon or Netflix (even if a substantial amount of their back catalogs is just “filler”).
And the best thing is there’s no customer service rep, sitting on hold with a call center, it’s usually a 60 second online cancellation process (sure, some can get a little tedious, one service had like 4 or 5 “Are you sure?” confirmations ...).
Yeah, is there any way things will improve? At some point Miller might wind up doing something even worse (*shudder*), and even the “Well, they’re a bit of a train wreck, but JL was OK, and I like Affleck and would love to see Keaton as Batman again ...” crowd may turn against this.
We LOVE the seasonal episodes (finally, some love for Thanksgiving ...) especially those two Halloween EPs, hahaha, the bit at the end of Fort Night after Millie thinks she killed them is a Top 10 BB scene ...
