Oh, her casting/role, just read that - and yeah, that’s a great point. Huh, now I’m a bit baffled!

Maybe Kate Dickie[?] Looks a bit like her, but of course there’s lots of makeup, the hair/eyes, etc. . A few GOT folks in this, including The Mountain/Ser Gregor.

Terrific alt-list, and yeah, those two numbers from Tick, Tick... Boom and that opener from In the Heights. Honestly, I can’t even get my head around a “Best Scene” from Dune, it was so visually stunning.

Yeah, and while John Hammond may be a little sketchy when it comes to specific details, but I don’t think he’d lie so casually if some child actually got shredded.

FWIW, John Hammond clarified the little girl was fine when he talks to Ian about going to the island.  I know quite a few folks who think she was killed in that scene (and they certainly shot it to appear that way).

I recently introduced my 13 year old - who’s already into the outer bounds of music, art, film - to Repo Man, she thought it was amazing, and even better, I’ve heard the soundtrack playing on her headphones :D

Yeah, I would definitely be cranky if this retconned three whole movies, I’m hoping if it is this idea, it’s more about the final outcome vs. “It was all a dream ...”

It’s only RICO if they follow it with ... Suave

Just watched this last night, it’s pretty spectacular all around: acting, direction, cinematography - but I think extra special recognition needs to be made about the Jonny Greenwood score, just amazing how much it amps up the tension, like how present it is, but then it slips into the background as needed.

I’m totally with you on this idea. This trailer definitely leans into the, “We let him think he won ...”, kind of like the TNG EP, ‘Ship in a Bottle’

I thought I thora birch, but it was an aspen ...

Just resize your browser (the width specifically), it’ll trigger the responsive CSS to use the mobile layout - for me it switches at about 35-40% of the full width of my display.

All these questions and more—including what the damn thing’s actually about; the IMDB synopsis still reads, “The plot is currently unknown”—will be answered in multiplexes and on HBO Max this Christmas.

Id’ say The Matrix (just the first one is plenty in this exercise ...), Point Break, and then maybe something really goofy and fun like Bill and Ted Excellent Adventure.

To be honest, I can’t even remember why I signed up for the “I Hate Jared Leto” fanclub ... something about a stupid face tattoo? Shitty band? WhTF are you in Blade Runner 2049?

Heck, if that’s the additional material, I wouldn’t mind a “Extra Footage Only Edition” ...

Rombies?  Zombots?

Right? I love how, even today, it sounds like reasonable scientific, umm, ghost theory :D . It also establishes a consistent set of science and rules - that Murray gets to be totally outside of, i.e.

And any line from Janosz Poha :)

I’d say that’s very much by design, i.e., put the real name on the real monster, Marilyn Manson is character, a cartoon, this is some criminal behavior perpetrated by Brian Warner.
