Technologically and mathematically brilliant, he’s also arrogant

Twitter Owner Elon Musk Is Now A Fallout: New Vegas Bad Guy

This makes Elon look much cooler than he deserves, honestly.

See, I quibble with this parallel in that Mr. House is actually smart and put together long-term plans that made sense and stuck to them. Space Karen X is nowhere near his level, if he were put in place of house he’d have probably lost interest in the platinum chip after a month of looking.

We gone get you through this, Richter!

The Castlevania series has honestly been one of the best video game adaptations IMO. Can’t wait for this one

If we were to rate them 1-10, the Junction system (FFVIII) would take the first 10 spots.

Blitzball is the best minigame in the entire series, so pistols or swords? And FFXIII’s combat system is a style-over-substance monstrosity that ushered in the miserable action game future for the series. But the worst thing XIII did was waste an entire console generation by doubling down twice on one of the series’

Whaaaaaat?! Blitzball? I *loved* blitzball. I only wish there was more to it, and that it was really hard to tell (from within the game itself) how to acquire new skills, or what even the requirements for those skills were.

The best part of X was obviously the laughing scene.

Even as a kid I thought Aerith dying was the worst thing about FF7.

Blitzball and collecting players for it to build your best team was awesome.
I’ll see you in the parking lot Kenneth *rolls up sleeves*. (But not really, because I’ve lost my inhaler)

I am both 0% surprised, and 100% disappointed to see FF7 at the top of this list.

It mostly played itself. Every once in a while you’d switch paradigms. It was terrible.

X-2 (ostensibly) non-linear design is absolutely destroyed by the sheer amount of missables. (Gotta sell them strategy guides)

Mostly good take. That said, Lightning Returns better than VIII? X-2 better than X? No way.

The problem isn’t really the linearity, a lot of games are linear, and I think there isn’t even a problem with a largely linear RPG. FFX works despite being nearly as linear. The problem is XIII makes no attempt to disguise it. It doesn’t give you even the illusion that you’re doing anything other than running in a

I guess I was one of the most dejected players, because FF XIII’s battle system definitely did not carry me through.

I acknowledge VII’s impact on the series as well as the fact that it was the first game in the series to be experienced by most...but from a story telling perspective it has nothing on the masterpiece that is VI, with VII being a confusing mess in comparison. I’ve played the vast majority of the FF games and VII does

That list went off the rails towards the end, but I’d still like to see an expanded list with the side games included. There’s a lot of garbage but some of the side/spinoff games hold their own against the best mainline games.
