Actually, that's a very interesting idea. But I'll keep my smart phone and skip the tablet. As long as *I feel like* I can do everything on my phone that I can do on a tablet, I'm good.

Also my wife I have Incredibles and are waiting... I put Cyanogenmod 7.1 on both and they work perfectly. We'll just sit back and wait for them to die. The new phones aren't really *that* much better.

I met my wife on a small site of profiles, campushook.com. She contacted me. I just sat and waited for people to contact me, dated a few, and one worked out. These days, I'd recommend both men and women send out a few "Hello" messages and be open to anyone who contacts them personally.

Thanks. I have two years of data in [mint.com] so far, but no reference as to what would be too much dining out or entertainment. Really, I'm probably okay. Before our 5-month-old was born, we would take vacations once a year that cost about $5000 total and would "fix" something with the house. Last year it was a

I'd think this is definitely in the future for Google Navigation, and could simply be done by periodically looking for a change in the traffic info, and if there is one, recalculating the best route in the background, then updating the user if it changes.

Wow debt payments (mortgage and school loans) only make about 16% of my Gross earnings. Yet, my family and I still manage to spend nearly everything I take home (after taxes, benefits payments, and a healthy 401(k) contribution are removed). Does this mean I have spending problems? This is my favorite solution.

This must be why my headphones look like they're going in backward when I put them in!

Great. So now they're comparing apples to oranges.

So now I can expect the Gawker articles to have errors become much more rare?

My wife sets our bedroom clock 10 minutes ahead. It only works if you're really sleepy and therefore forget that it's set ahead. If I did this in my car, I'd always be calculating what time it actually is, so it wouldn't give me any benefit.

"Too smart for their own good." I think in this case they made it less smart in an attempt to make it more smart. So it's not too smart, it's too dumb.

They could probably do that, but it would break every time Facebook changed something. So they reduce development time by making their own separate interface.

"If you're in a fire, hit the floor and cover your face with a damp cloth... If [the door] opens inward, you can't kick it down..."

They have. It's just taken a long time to figure out how to do it.

After watching many videos in the comments, I believe is the funniest one is the one Google picked. And I was skeptical at first. Maybe it's because I watched it first.

Why I use LastPass: I wouldn't be able to remember more than 3 secure passwords. And by the time I get there, I wouldn't be able to remember which site I used which password with. And then I'd have to remember the username which can vary. And I don't have any trouble logging in on somebody else's computer. Sure, I

It would indeed be a big benefit to society, simplifying shipping needs (we'd still need to ship the printing material). I recommend Daniel Suarez's book, Daemon. The sequel, Freedom(TM) touches briefly on this topic.
