Okay, okay, I'll switch to LastPass from KeePass. Thanks for the motivation :). #lifechanger

@robotsneedhugs2: No, this is about quarter machines. The reason is that they only need serviced once a month (or less often if you do it right). And the initial investment is much smaller (machines cost < $200 instead of $1500). I'm planning on starting with 2 machines and letting my company grow on its own without

I check my credit card account online nearly every week day through Mint.com, just so I can make sure everything is in the right category. It's also easy to tell if there's a charge that I don't recognize that way.

@Navin R Johnson: Perhaps it's common to buy something from a store and then buy exactly the same thing again.

@Bonsai_halcyon: No, I don't believe there is canceling involved. At least not officially. Instead, when you're in the airport at Atlanta, you simply exit the airport instead of catching the connecting flight.

Thank you so much for posting this. I think you've just changed my life. I read through the 40 ideas and one popped out at me: bulk candy vending machines. I'll wait a month to make sure I'm serious, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to start my own bulk candy vending machine business. I would just start with one

Well done, Adam. You've finally convinced me to change all of my passwords and track them with KeePass, backed up in Dropbox. I do feel safer now, so thanks :).

@eagles3 speeeedin: After reading about the benefits of barefoot running, I also tried to adjust the way I run. I'm trying to stay on my toes for as long as possible (after a few miles I get too tired to care). I'm hoping this will allow me to run faster and with less strain.

The Oatmeal just posted their version of the annoying types on Facebook. I can assign friends to almost all of the categories. [theoatmeal.com]

The program works fine, but on my computer, #lifehacker's previously featured #DriveSpacio works much faster.

Oh, so you didn't like the post called "The Truth: Mysterious Spiral Explanation Actually Was Alien Sighting Cover-Up"? Sure, it was just a joke, but it was probably the best part of my day.

Even though the 17th is free shipping day and I'd still get my gifts from Amazon before Christmas, I'd still buy earlier. Having just one week would make me too nervous.

The Top 10 Underhyped Webapps list is awesome. Fonolo and ScreenToaster have saved time and energy on multiple locations.

@Doomstalk: Yes that was the first thing I thought as well.

i routinely use this search to find good free lifehacker-recommended software

Along the lines with a scale, I'd go with:

I wouldn't upgrade my RAM more than doubling it from when I originally got it. After that, I'd get a whole new PC and would definitely get at least 4GB of RAM, as I run many applications at once and applications over time and upgrades get larger and larger.

Also you can restart the computer instead of shutting it down and turning off the power if you use "-r" instead of "-s". Additional info can be found here: [www.astahost.com]

I've been trying to find a proxy that isn't categorized by Blue Coat Web Filter as 'Proxy Avoidance.' Anybody know one?
