Then a couple of guys who were up to no good…
Given all of these indictments, is it not becoming painfully obvious that the root of the issue is the regulations?
Terrell,
Honestly, you can’t have it both ways. Cheap/long-range EV/premium interior and styling. Pick 2. And I’m not a GM fanboy, but you can’t seriously be complaining about GM build quality while ignoring the horrendous build quality on the Model S and X, both priced at a premium level.
To be fair, EVs have very low power consumption “at a long light” in the states that they’re selling the 500e - there’s almost no power needed to idle, so it’s just HVAC demand, and that’s not going to be much in the most populated parts of California and Oregon.
2nd Gear: Those New Planned Emissions Standards Should Cost Less Than Previously Thought
Not to be that guy, but plated and registered are not the same as street legal. Right off the bat from the video of him going 6's is the fact that the car has ZERO rearward facing mirrors of any kind. The headlights appear to be some sort of plastic stand in and non functional. The tail lights are not functioning…
CAFE is designed and was designed from the very beginning to control what cars we are able to purchase. While I disapprove of the typical european system of high fuel taxes and displacement taxes it did at least allow for market choice.
CAFE was designed to eliminate the full size passenger car from the market as well…
This is your reminder that the Obama administration itself thought the target was probably too high and did it anyway. Presumably because any negative fallout would be another administration’s problem.
They haven’t shown that they can build cars for a profit at any volume.
one of the few good reasons to have a savant-like recall of the various head and tail-light fixtures of every single car on the road.
There was an article on this today. Clearly, that little plastic square hides a weld-nut, the purpose of which is to provide a provision for a tow eye.
If a pun can be mistaken for an error, it’s not a very good pun.
Neutral:
Not with the current testing, we weren’t. Not with the current emissions requirements, we weren’t. Not with the current safety standards(or anything even remotely close to it), we weren’t. Low-hanging fruit aren’t so low-hanging anymore. The fact that today’s car’s already get better mileage than the cars of yore…
That’s fair and all but you could just as easily include corvette leaf spring rear ends, snap oversteer in mr2s, and the tendency of ferraris and lamborghinis to simply burst into flames.
Probably because they never would be able to run intake runners that long on an actual engine without suffocating it at higher revs, so the 100% of the variable runner represents a longer runner than the compromised fixed-runners they would normally run.
So, to recap:
The Mustang was resting before the big feast.
this is one of those occasion when the universe could have taught this dipwad a much more painful lesson (lost wallet and phone) but a considerate rider, even after being cut off, gives the guy a second chance.
