If Johnny Depp is involved, you've got to account for him wanting Tim Burton direct the movie. And if Tim Burton directs the movie, then Helena Bonham Carter is going to be cast as Peach, Danny DeVito will be Bowser, Danny Elfman will "re-imagine" classic Mario music for the score, and he'll also make the movie dark

Get to the Koopa-choppa!

Not to be mean, but have you ever collected the actual toys back in the 70s-80s? Long before Takara made Transformers with complex designs, they've made Dialones and Microman robots (toys that were later merged into one re-branded toyline by Hasbro for American consumers) with proportions similar to the Starscream

As somebody who is playing a lot of old PS1 Japanese games this list is really good, although kinda missing Xenogears.

Not that I have particularly green motoring ambitions, but I've never known anyone who's owned a vehicle with a plug, and I have no idea what it would be like. How much does it cost to fuel? Is it really quieter in EV mode? Is it more reliable (Tesla)? Can you really expect to find chargers in public places? How much

Oh, you want to play the game you've paid for? What a pity, it doesn't exist anymore. We now added some DLC, it's a complete new game now. This means you have to pay us again. Gosh Darn.

Has anyone ever played a tabletop RPG with a GM who insisted that players roleplay out the seductions of the NPCs because they took role-play way too fucking seriously, leading you to have an awkward, icky ten minutes?

I'm liking the game. About 60 hours in a A LOT to go, but I truly dont get the praise. It is a solid 8/10 to me but it keaves me wanting so much knowing Biowares other games. I loved every Mass Effect better than this. I haven't had a great story feeling yet. And with ME3 even the intro got me so pumped up.

I think all in all this is a problem for a vast majority of free roam games these days. Take a look at Assassin's Creed or Far Cry.

Popsiclezeratul, I agree with you. Those names are super weird. I have no idea why they would name themself that, Popsiclezeratul. No idea at all.

Bioware have fully embraced their Tumblr/fanfiction.net audience. I don't, however, think "we got dem boobs now" suddenly makes the game more mature. While they've done a lot for the genre, and arguably single-handedly saved narrative RPGs on console in the period 2004-2009, their focus on "wish-fulfillment"

Guardian, The Speaker is trying to save The Traveler from The Darkness, so you have been imbued with The Light, so that you can fight The Vex, The Cabal, The Fallen and The Hive. If you need help, The Stranger will direct you to The Reef where The Queen will tell you how to get to The Black Garden.

True, nothing tops Skyrim on suped up mods, but Xenoblade I still think does it right, considering 99% of the time you're not getting a bird's eye view of the world, but you're rather right in the thick of it.

The improved realism of this new-generation-stuff has got me noticing the lack of undergrowth in video games for the first time. I've never thought about it before, but now when watching these vista scenes it becomes really obvious. In nature when you have trees you almost always have shrubbery, bushes or smaller

I think what Kirk means is that, unlike in this fictional setting, magic isn't real.

The biggest narrative problems I had with AC games was their overuse of historical characters. Granted I haven't played any new games after AC3, but character bloat was always something the series has suffered with.

GODDAMNIT!!!

I TOLD MYSELF "NO MORE PRE-ORDERS"! AFTER THE CLUSTERFUCK THAT IS DESTINY AND THE $90+ I SHIT DOWN THE DIGITAL TOILET.

This whole process of holding back embargoes on crappy games needs to be stopped. Sure - we can 'read into' things when a strict embargo is imposed - but the hype machine on many sites (though perhaps not this one as much since the focus adjustment) continues uninterrupted until the inevitable crash when the review is

Judging by the gameplay vidz, the rumours those are spreading around and some intuition of my own - it seems that we are gonna revisit the whole galactic political conflict (of the Mass Effect 3) but this time in a fantasy setup.

It is such a tough task to condense decades worth of games into a list of only 12 excellent games on a platform as diverse as the PC. Kudos for updating the list to a relatively recent collection of extraordinary titles that covers multiple genres and interests.
