The thing that has bothered me the most in the Call of Duty is the fact that enemies keep respawning until you hit a 'checkpoint'. I remember trying to clear a street for my (AI) buddies in Call of Duty 3 (?) and it took me over 15 minutes to realize it was a better tactic to run through the level, get checkpoints and

I think Horror and Comedy both fall in the same category. Usually the stuff that wasn't intentionally funny also is a more fun thing than stuff people make up to 'be fun'.

I spend countless hours rolling characters in the Baldur's Gate games. It's a powergaming itch that I can't seem to get rid of (or I really like 'roleplaying' strong characters I guess).

It might be a thing for people who played with Lego when they were kids and played Minecraft when it was just becoming a thing. Now they have a job and might be able to buy a minecraft Lego set, blow a hole in the set using Lego dynamite and try to flood the entire thing with water and lava.

You've just said someone is a bitter, overly-serious douche because he admitted he dislikes anime. From my experience, people who cast judgement this quickly are people who don't like animals; they are untrustworthy, and it says a lot about their character. Basically, they are shitty people that most people dislike.

Not to throw fuel on the fire but ehh.. how is any 'gamer' a comrade because I game too? Is someone who watches movies (like I do) also a comrade? This has nothing to do with games or being a 'gamer'. The people issuing threats have either some psychological issues or a plain lack of empathy and sensibility. These

Glad people can be happy because of stuff like this :p. It's hard to think of (game related) announcements that would make me react like this. Perhaps a new Wizardry game or a new Baldur's Gate. Don't think DLC would ever appeal this much though.

One does not simply 'get out of the PC arms race'. Just when you think that you're out.... they pull you right back in.

The reason a lot of people find Half Life underwhelming is because you never played any Doom clones. Seriously, play Doom, Doom II, Hexen, Heretic, Rise of the Triad, Blood, Redneck Rampage (heck, almost all great FPS games in their days) and now go play Half-Life.

I thought Dragon Age was kinda meh (being the spiritual successor to BG) and thought Dragon Age 2 was really horrible. I also thought that Mass Effect 3 was extremely meh. So having lost all faith in Bioware I can't be hyped by this game, especially with all the trailers and whatnot rolling out. Especially knowing

Pretty static graphics? No animations?

Everytime someone mentions Perlman someone has to look at Perlman.

Perl agrees.

I want to play a turn based climbing RPG now. In which I can level up my hips and find gloves of the chimp +2!
