Planet Money did a fun video that explains how Honeycrisp and other edible apples took over in the 1980s. Worth a watch!

Yeah, that’s a pretty common abuse tactic, do something terrible to someone and tell them they’re “over-reacting” when they get pissed about it.

I cannot believe (*sigh* yes I can) that people are fixated on, “but did he wear socks IN the pool?” as opposed the fact that the (thankfully fired) apartment manager is a blatant racist.

I think that getting your real name dug up is a natural consequence of saying a thing on camera in public, in front of witnesses, in your community or workplace in real life. You don’t have any reasonable expectation of privacy from your neighbors or coworkers knowing your identity.

You know, some people also didn’t like The Last Jedi because it’s a structurally questionable movie with some bad writing and underdeveloped (or underused) characters.

The only photos of Michelle we have rights to are of her alongside Patton. So it was either a close, awkward crop, or something resembling the one I used, which I think is actually sort of sweet—especially because he has continued her work.

i can’t even be mad. i clicked into this article. i read it. i did this to me.

I don’t give a shit if she got work done. She looks amazing and works hard for that figure, I’m sure. Get it, Britney. Get. It.

I’m an ex-pat from the States who’s now a Canadian citizen, and I think this article is puerile and stale.

Also, if anything, Rosa Parks is the American Viola Desmond. Viola came first, and her act was a truly spontaneous moment of outrage and protest.

Agreed - this article is derivative bullshit. And late.

This article is...kind of annoying. She’s not “Canadian Rosa Parks”...wtf kind of weird thing is that to say. Not only is she her own person, but is that “Canadian” qualifier supposed to somehow assert America’s awesomeness or something? These are people, not bacon.
