I think I lost interest after Zohan. It isn't a terrible movie, but my tastes had been changing, and I realized I wasn't really into Sandler anymore around that time.

Your Furby is mine to avail/such a tragic sight it is/slave under my creed/spurring me with those tears
'Again.'
Preferably 'Custard Pie'.
He's going to fuck the well, people!
Twenty-seven this year. I don't go to the movies often. I've seen much, much worse films than both those outside the theater.
The Girl on The Train, or Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Former was good mockery material. Resident Evil was flat shit.
'That's right, baby. No fightin'. It was just a scene in a Hollywood whorehouse movie. Okay, baby? You know it's okay. And your dad knows it's okay.'
Whipped Cream and Other Delights' cover is unreasonably erotic.
Awesome! What'd you think? I happened to read through nearly all Bolano's books a couple years ago. A lot of people seem to like his short books, and I do, too, but I think 2666 is probably the best thing he wrote.
Absolutely agree. I don't dislike Murakami at all. I definitely feel something - a particular, yeah, sense of isolation, existentialism, wabi sabi, when I read his books - he communicates that well - and his work, I think, often feels very non-Western in the kind of moods, or angles on a mood, subject, he expresses,…
I had problems with that part, too. I've been trying to find the second book up here to see how some of this plays out on page. I think there are a lot of presumptions we're supposed to make about Earth, Martian, and Belter cultures, things which haven't really been addressed as directly as show time allows.
I think Murakami is fine. I think he is wildly overrated. I think you can read a couple of his books and never really need to read another - he revisits the same topics a lot. I think his shorter works are, generally, better. He might read better in Japanese.
Robo-Fetus mistreatment alert! Robo-Fetus mistreatment alert!
'Hippopotamus' is pretty great. Electric Six (big Sparks influence on 'em) have been resembling Sparks more and more as their career has gone on.
Oh, dude. Fuck yes! I was listening to 'Children of the Sea', and split the biggest, goofiest smile when Dio warns, 'LOOK OUT' near the end. So Dio. So earnest. So dignified. The guy really liked what he was doing, wasn't self-conscious at all about it. I really respect that.
'The Expanse' has established itself as one of the best space sci-fi shows ever at this point.
A lot of Ronnie James Dio's music. Street Sects' new record. Nails. Hex Dispenser. Masshysteri.
He couldn't afford the view. And these Automatic Flowers won't do.
I want The Kids In Hall on our next new bill.
