Then I am in High School, like in 10th grade, and my history teacher basically said that they were assholes, which is true. But…

I agree. She could have said something like “You are right, although I am sure you could have thought of a more polite way to express yourself” or something like that, if the real problem WAS that she thought his journal entry was rude. Instead, she is dismissive, and that is completely wrong.
