Just to play devil’s advocate, there are guys like Brady who don’t even drink a beer over the season as he feels it (slightly) depletes ability. I’m not saying it’s accurate, just another perspective.

In OBJ’s defense, the grounds crew member kept telling him that he’s “not just a member of the grounds crew, he’s also a part owner of the team”.

While this may be a bit of an exaggeration, I feel you also left something out:

I agree that the trip almost certainly did not factor into the game. But go on that trip, post it on social media, then have a floating turd of a game and well. You brought it on yourself.

My favorite part of every story I’ve seen about this is the picture of the hole. I hope rather than patch it, the grounds keeper whose job it is to make the repair cuts the whole square out, frames it, and puts it up on Ebay. This could be like Luis Gonzalezs gum for a new generation.
