Is there a real in game cost to carrying everything? Other than the hassle of cluttering up the inventory screen, does carrying a lot of extra junk cause a decrease in stamina or speed?

Having a clean desktop without any icons is great for that. I store a lot of my files, especially current projects, on my desktop. So to keep a clean desktop I use an app like displayfusion. Hides all the icons after a few seconds of not using the desktop space.
