You actually can't. You need a Kindle in order to borrow books using Prime. They make you borrow the book from the Kindle itself, so without it you're out of luck.

Well depending on the iPod Touch you get, it'll be just as powerful as the iPhone. If I'm not mistaken, the 4th generation Touch was the hardware equivalent of the iPhone 4, minus the phone of course.
