re: Meghan as a bully, I suspect (and other commenters have remarked) that it’s possible (likely?) Meghan was just being a black woman who wasn’t afraid to be frank about what she wanted, what she didn’t want, and who was/was not meeting expectations.

THIS. And frankly, it galls me to see the family hand-wringing over Meghan’s behavior (who may be a bully or may just be someone who doesn’t fit in well in this strange family, who knows?) when they’ve not yet made any kind of meaningful investigation into or statement about the allegations against Andrew. They’re

Yeah. The only specific allegation I have ever seen was the allegation that she sent an email at 5 am, but even that allegation is not specific. Was it a onetime thing? Was it a frequent occurrence? Was she shooting off ideas and expected a response when the work day began? Did she insist that everyone be on call

Holy fucking shit, Tracy. I have struggled my whole life with these same concepts and types of experiences. Memory is shaped by the things that we want to be true, or that must be true, because of what is supposed to be true.

Ha - yikes.  Not sure that is a healthy attitude towards journaling!  Just make sure it’s somewhere secure and people respect your boundaries and don’t go snooping. ;)

Yeah. THAT’S why a lot of people don’t like her.

Meghan’s bullying was probably disagreeing with the people that thought they knew better than her and her setting clear boundaries.

Oh, so THAT’S why her hair is so voluminous: it’s full of secrets AND it’s a wig!

“Fearless against the wind” makes about as much sense as titling it “Brave in the face of a slight incline.”

It’s bullshit that Andrew is given every get out imaginable but that, along with the convenient revelation in terms of timing, shouldn’t and doesn’t take away from the substance of there being a provable to exist formal work complaint against Meghan alleging bullying against several members of staff. Some of what’s

Since when does the Palace care what the staff thinks? This is such a crock. Maybe we could get Meghan’s side of the story, wherein the staff member said something rude to her and she didn’t care for it?

Spot on. Prince Andrew’s alleged transgressions are a fair bit more serious than a vague report by an unnamed assistant about Meghan being rude to her that one time.

I think that’s the core of the problem for many political issues these days: there’s no defined process for addressing those that violate the rules.

Watching the 1994 Madonna interview with fresh eyes is fascinating. She completely turned the tables on him and proved her point about his “obsession” with her sex life. Yet consensus at the time was that she was the one who made herself look terrible, not the bully she was calling out.

Because she did a photoshoot with a world-famous phootgrapher where you can see her nipples, she deserved to be harassed and bullied on national TV? C’mon man, do better.

“We want to make clear that this behavior will not be accepted at the Legislature, as soon as word gets out. And people start asking questions. And the creep won’t stop creeping.  And the world has our own records that we kept but never acted on. And we have to actually defend doing nothing at all for years.” There!

What gets me when I hear stuff like the headline is that I assume this choad must have done something so overtly heinous, like trying to grope a ten year old in front of cameras on the Capitol steps, that they HAVE to respond—and it’s always simply another incident like the ones he’s been piling up for the last decade

Wear shoes.

I’m so angry at those assholes who a) shot Ryan, and b) stole the dogs, yet I’m thankful he’s well on the road to recovery and the pooches were recovered unharmed. Pray there was security camera footage of the knobs tying the dogs to that pole and they’re caught swiftly. His recounting of Asia guarding him as he lay

Funny story in that my car at the time was having issues so I was borrowing my mom’s Oldsmobile Intrigue. It was a gold color, which I hated, and I hated driving it. That car saved my life. Also my mom was expecting to get her car back after two weeks of me using it; obviously she never got it back.
