About point #2: Out here in Cali it is very common to find drivers sitting in their cars on random parking rows just waiting for somebody to drive out of their space, and not any particular somebody, but for whoever shows up first to leave. We may see iPad Mini sales skyrocket when we get closer to the Thanksgiving / Christmas buying season, I have the feeling that many full-sized iPad owners will buy the Mini for their kids, especially since they likely already purchased apps FOR their kids.
