The guy that hit him obviously needs to be punished but I don't see how you can justify the riders actions especially since there are tons of videos of riders correcting mistakes of fellow car drivers.

Good write up. I've been working on this. It's my sisters 98 Civic. She and a kid at her school backed into each other. I replaced the tail light yesterday and pushed the quarter panel back about a half inch. Going to replace the rear bumper today and try and take some of the dents out.
