The problem with these names is that all of these actors are too high profile to accept the role for the money the BBC will likely offer. Who had heard of Eccleston, Tennant, Smith or Capaldi before they landed the role? You need to think character actors, not leads.

I'd be happy with any of the cast of the IT Crowd over that Kris Marshall creep.

I'm still angry at Rachel Maddow for the phoney tax return revelation.

The movie is filled with these kinds of contrivances.

They'd certainly get that ship repaired a lot quicker than I could.

This version of the movie would have been worse, for all of the reasons the original version is bad, only moreso.

Knowing my luck they'd all turn out to be lesbians

One of the few good set-pieces and concepts in the movie is when Lawrences character almost drowns in the space swimming pool when the ship loses its artificial gravity.

Yeah, but I think the consensus is that that was a dumb and contrived premise used to justify the terrible behaviour of a misogynistic creep.

Someone would take that job too. There are people willing to go to Mars now even though it would almost certainly result in a quick miserable death. Are fatalists and nihilists really the kind of people you'd want for such important work though? This is why I think any future Mars mission is doomed.

You don't understand if you just chop the Star Wars Prequels in half, then play them backwards in a very particular order they aren't actually the CGI turdfests everyone knows they are.

11 Cloverfield Lane did this whole concept much better. Including the interesting question about whether the alien invasion is real, a lie or a part of Goodmans characters delusions.

The film you're describing is called Pandorum and it's pretty great. I think it's on netflix.

Phillip was arrogant, obnoxious and chauvinistic on top of being a goofball. I would find him hard to like even if he had great strategy. It's the Russel Hantz conundrum. It's not enough to have good gameplay, people also need to like you, not much, but enough.

Good point, that's what Jeremy did and it worked for him.

Isn't the idol JT left with the second idol Tai found?

I don't think they bought it at all, but they have resigned themselves to accepting how crazy Debbie acts sometimes.

I think he came on too strong too early in MvGX as well.

Spot on. It's almost as if white people are poorly suited to non-european climates.

Everyone so under-estimates Debbie as a strategic player that she can walk right up to someone and whisper something loudly to them and nobody suspects anything. I love that.
