Wait. They wrote an article about “overlooked” voters in states that went Trump!? HOLY SHIT! That’s some first-class outside-the-box journalism. What an underreported story! I look forward to the insights that “out-of-touch liberals” could glean about speaking to this elusive and strange subset of the species.

Meanwhile

The very idea that those protesting Roseanne are like Dan Quayle going after Murphy Brown is laughable on its face. It’s ridiculous. Like the article itself, your take is bad and ignores that Trump voters aren’t making any effort to meet anyone else halfway. Why are they deserving to receive that courtesy when they do

I would’ve watched a 2 hour movie of Kirby and Fisher doing just about anything. Puttering around the house, going to dinner or the grocery store, birthday parties... name it. They’re that couple everyone wishes they could be.

What I really like about this movie is something that was left out of the discussion above. Interspersed throughout the story of Harry and Sally are interviews with old couples about how they met and fell in love. Aside from the fact that all of these are very charming, it places the main plot in the context of love

I’m definitely on team “Harry and Sally were better off being friends.” Crystal and Ryan’s chemistry feels much more friendly than romantic, to the point where the ending is easily my least-favorite part of the movie.

C K DEXTER HAAAVEN!

No “Night of the Hunter” in 1956, I guess? It came out in ‘55. Amazing film, beautiful, haunting cinematography and Lillian Gish with a shotgun. Robert Mitchum’s preacher looks all too familiar these days.

The House Bunny. That’s when I knew. She elevated...The House Bunny.

Would that it were so simple.

Holy shit so many of the commentariat here now are fucking assholes.

> Once I read that it clicked. “Oh, sjw podcast apparently”.

Politics Corner - A shithole erupted for an hour and a half, covering the nation in bullshit. I had advanced warning, so I sheltered in place with Netflix. I watched The Good Place. I regret nothing.

That reprise (which Rachel Bloom had posted on YouTube yesterday, but it was still awesome today) was delightful. Also, the “that doesn’t impress me much” made me laugh much more than I should admit.

Guys, this is a PSA: you know you that with Kinjamprove you can block KeyserRoll and not see his dumb, bad comments, right? I did it the other day and seriously, it’s awesome.

Yes. Time traveling Obama created the Bush recession, blackly defeated the hero McCain (and Sarah!) in a very black way - then went on to oppress those poor white people by saving the economy and giving them health care - blackily.

I would’ve picked somebody else for the cover, but Swift threw her money behind this movement well before the Weinstein allegations- she threw Kesha a quarter million while Kesha was suing Dr. Luke and contractually unable to record without him.

It’s really discouraging to me to see all the backlash about Taylor Swift. So many people saying that she’s too white, too rich, not feminist enough, etc, to be a part of this. But you don’t have to be a perfect victim to deserve justice. You don’t have to be selfless to stand up for yourself.
