Microsoft has been the best salesperson for Linux ever. I even migrated my 75 year-old parents to it two years ago using the same hardware they’ve been on for at least 5 years under Windows. All I heard for an hour after was “Holy shit! It’s so fast!”. All the software was free and just worked. My sandal-wearing Read more

Please research the amount of funds/supplies/etc donated by the US government to the world and after that do so again for the people of the US. Now finally, compare the results of what the people of the USA donate to charity on a per person average then compare that to other nations.

I can see your point but I don’t agree with it.  I have read of reports where nursing home deaths were attributed to the virus without seemingly having been tested for such and were just rubber stamped to perhaps avoid scrutiny for neglect as an example. But I still think these may be statistically irrelevant.

I’ve been doing this for weeks. I order two double whoppers for $3.00 each. I ride up on my motorcycle, park, walk to the window and let them know my mobile number. Had one lady get pissy that i wasn’t waiting in line and I informed her that I ordered and paid before she even rolled up to BK. I did it nicely and she Read more

no sober minded people think the police should be abolished. However police should not be granted immunity from wrongful and illegal actions. And this war on drugs is bullshit. We tried prohibition and what did it do? It created the gangsters of the 20's. Now a hundred years later we haven’t learned. We vilify a weed Read more

the problem with Mr. Floyd was the cop, like many, didn’t like it when challenged in any way. “How dare they not bend to my will!” Not sure if its the same where you live but county cops her start at $19K a year. Think about that. The person with whom I discuss my wireless bill is paid more than a 20 something in a Read more

not sure i see kidnapping, robbery, arson, rape, etc could be considered non-violent but I’m no lawyer. A big part of this is the result of the war on drugs. A guy can violently rape a woman and get less jail time than if he had a baggie of grass. How are we tolerating this?

I’ve heard this argument and older folks like me (white guy in his 50's) have asked about the wisdom of turning the police into swat teams. Where is the local cop who used to walk the beat, knew the people in the neighborhood and would help and advise those her/she came in contact with? They were members of the Read more

yes black on black crime is very high. Yes the vast majority of police are good and try very hard to protect all and are NOT racist. And yes the message of protesting is sometimes being hijacked by the militant, violent and felonious. HOWEVER, your reply was extremely tone-deaf. Please reread your reply in front of a Read more

As an IT professional I detest the zip tie. Use a roll of velcro you filthy animals! I just LOOooOooOOoove having to cut 40 zip ties because someone wanted to make all the cables under their desk into one braided cable. Great until you have to switch out a monitor or something. Read more

How do they see mostly white faces commiting crime? How do you conclude that? Please go talk to a cop and get the real story. Until leadership in the police stops the culture of “protect a cop no matter the consequences” it is not going to change. But the african american community is not helping until they start Read more

the police in this country have been militarized for decades since the war on drugs began. They operate like small country armies. They even dress like military. Gone are the friendly neighborhood police officer.
