Argh, yes please let us mute ‘vehicle stopped on shoulder’ alerts... It’s the least important and yet most common alert - that’s a problem.

I love Waze. I use it daily. It’s saved my bacon a few times. I can only think of a few things that would make it better:

The problem is that noobs use it to rack up points. Just do away with the whole points system altogether.

funny story. one day i reported a cop as i passed him, and saw another wazer close by. i sent a message (talking to phone, not texting) to let wazer know about the cop. message comes back.. “thanks buddy, I’m the cop.. why are you texting and driving?”

Worst thing is the “vehicle stopped on shoulder”. If I could remove ONE feature, it would be that. On long hauls, there is one almost EVERY MILE, and usually so far off the road it would do NOBODY any danger.

Ha, yes. Sometimes stopped on shoulder is good; it makes you check if vehicle is too close to road/person working on it. But people will even report DOT vehicles 10 feet off the shoulder in the grass.

“OMG!!! There’s a Vehicle Stopped On Shoulder ahead!!! Take evasive action now!”

I am a really heavy Waze user- I think I’m like #900 in my state. The day I can selectively remove only “Vehicle Stopped on Shoulder” is the day I will consider Waze to be all grown up. So many little things make it just not quite perfect.
