Have you seen a psychiatrist? Psychologists usually can’t perscribe medicine because they aren’t full doctors. Many anti depressants also help with anxiety issues. I think doctors don’t like prescribing xanax as much bc those can be addictive.

Over 250 people have been exonerated from death row. 250 innocent people who could have been murdered by our govt if it hadn’t been found out in time they were innocent. Many of those were race related as well. The death penalty is not an action we can take back if we’re wrong.

In both book and movie his disability also affects his health greatly bc he is at greater risk for infection. He had been hospitalized for pneumonia 4 times I think and they say it almost killed him once. They also talk about how much pain he is in. I think that is a big factor as well.

The disability in the book and movie led to a lot of serious sickness. He almost died from pneumonia once and had it a few times in a couple years. For his character I think it's not only the lack of his old self but the constant health issues and pain he deals with.
