You kids are spoiled today with your pixels. Why, when I was a child we’d walk two miles in the snow to the unheated theater to see flat 2D animation and we were happy to have it!

I was 5 when it came out, so my ideas about dragons hadn’t fully formed yet—I just saw Elliott as a big, goofy friend, which is appealing when you’re five. I also loved Helen Reddy, so the soundtrack was more of a draw to me than the movie itself.

The problem for me isn’t rape. The problem was Sansa’s rape. Which wasn’t in any book.

Translation: the problem isn’t that all these other people were raped, the problem was *a character that I like* was raped.

People have been saying this for two weeks and all of last year. Book readers go ballistic on D&D while giving George a free pass. It is pure hypocrisy.
