How much of the stuff that’s attendant to winning an Emmy does Jezebel cover? Black and brown stars are still covered secondarily. Our interest and perspective is regularly overlooked. Great example— the shitty review Jezebel published on Mary J. Blige’s documentary on Amazon. The guy who reviewed it said,

Good point on the cosmetic procedures.

Yawnda.

Ease off on all of the Real Housewives content please.

as an aging twink I hope his quest is what our future looks like when we age out of twink hood. we need answers for our existence fair prince.

I like the dress and I’m all for women skirting around ridiculous dress codes meant to shame and sexualize their bodies. I am perpetually enraged at the idea that a woman’s body can disrespect “the sacredness” of a place.

You know what, Justin? You just had to Say Something. But we’ve all seen your True Colors, and they’re Filthy. And This I Promise You, What Goes Around... Comes Around. Until the End of Time, Bye Bye Bye.

And exactly how do you know she has?

I agree somewhat but have a different spin.

I believe that people deserve an opportunity to grow and learn, but it really frustrates me that white people are the only ones afforded that grace. Per many of the comments on this site, Prince Harry dressing as a nazi and calling fellow cadets racial slurs is forgivable. Billie Eilish is also forgivable. Alexi

Well she’s white so ZERO! :)

I’m gonna put all these folks giving Billie a pass in the same bucket that I put all the comments suggesting that “In the Heights” wasn’t colorist Afro-Latin erasure wrapped in a good story last week.

Victoria Secret is the Applebees of undergarments. There are better options in every dimension, but force of habit and ubiquity have kept them alive long after the sun has set on the mall era they thrived in.

Twitter was a mistake.

Here’s my take on all this. It’s okay for other people to want to see people that look like them, even if those same people don’t look like YOU. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say LMM probably didn’t see a lot of people who looked like him in media. So when he made some media of his own, he wanted to center it

Chris Meloni looks like my brother in a way I can’t quite put my finger on (shape of the head?  smile?  the way his eyes crinkle?  what is it?), which kind of ruins him as an object of lust, but I’m glad he’s back on L&O anyway.

Tom Cruise movie sets are a thing unto themselves, according to people in the industry I’ve worked with. They’re apparently one of the best places to work, because everyone gets treated super well, and that’s all Cruise’s doing. So, of course, he gets to yell at people when he wants.

Knives Out was badly written? You really want to criticize someone else's writing?

I love how no one even read the article (because really, who asked for a deep journalistic dive into men humping stages?) and is just here to express their existential horror at that anatomically impossible banner gif. It’s like a fucking Lovecraft monstrosity. Who did this??

I have nothing to add except that Wagner is my Alma Mater and this is by far not the craziest thing the school is known for.
