i remember going thru this same kind of thing when showing one of my friends Resident Evil 4, realizing that, “Oh god this cannot possibly live up to the reputation i have built up around it”, because i basically said something along the lines of, “this is like the David Bowie of video games”

could be a decent movie, but it’s really hard to tell with these bizarre, Lynchian-style trailers. Gives me a Blade Runner vibe though, which is good.
