I’m not hating on the car, that’s just the first thing I noticed. As someone who uses SUV’s for everyday shit, like kid transpo and grocery getting, it would be a concern. I’m constantly caught in summer downpours that can last quite a while.

We’ll see, I guess. Tesla engineers live in a state where it never rains.

Look at this picture, and then think about opening these doors in a driving rain that is coming in from any other direction than directly downward. The interior of your $100k electric car is going to get very wet.

I’m more worried about when I’m out and about. We don’t have grocery stores and shopping centers with covered parking where I live.

I understand that might be pretty effective if the rain is coming in from the side or above, directly at the doors, but if it’s coming from the front or rear of the car, it seems like it would be pretty much unimpeded.

I don’t really understand the hostility, it’s a valid question. I’d be pretty upset if the interior of my $100k electric car gets soaked just because my passengers want to get out of the car when it’s raining.

Heavy rain rarely falls straight downward. And even then, seems like you have to deal with water splashing off the roof and into the cabin.

So when you’re trying to get kids and groceries out of the backseat during a downpour, the interior of the car pretty much gets ruined, right?

How do you get kids and groceries in and out of the back seat during a rainstorm without the entire interior of the car getting soaked? Seems like the perfect storm of heavy downpour, wind, and incline/decline would doom the middle of that car to a good soaking.

Corolla. So gentle, and always there for you.

It looks like a funeral arrangement on wheels.

I’m a bit biased on this one. I’ve got an ‘07 sedan with the 6 speed, and along with being extremely comfortable, the motor is incredibly tolerant of aftermarket tuning and abuse. This is my first BMW, i bought it last year at 85k miles for about $15.5, and aside from the typical maintenance and little BMW things, i’m

I’ve got a 2007 sedan with 96k, and it’s a dream. 475hp and counting.

I submit the 2008 BMW 335i coupe.

I’m assuming the clutch was torched.

Big surprise. I hope the driver is publicly outed and subjected to a long campaign of internet shaming.

I like the Range Rover as the bishop, for their ability to handle weird off-road diagonal movements.

First thing I thought of when I saw the article.

I’m sorry, but this kind of has a “Demolition Man” kind of feel to it.

That gauge cluster has an early Lexus IS feel to it.
