Are they though? I didn’t watch the presser (because, ugh, I just can’t anymore) but keep in mind he brings his own adoring staff and interns and stuff to cheer for him. He’s done it at multiple press conferences already, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did it again here.

How long until he actually stands up there and just starts screaming, “YOU ALL HAVE TO LOVE ME! YOU HAVE TO LOVE ME NOW! I AM YOUR PRESIDENT! I AM THE BEST YOU’VE EVER HAD! THE BEST YOU EVER WILL HAVE! I’ll DESTROY YOU IF YOU DON’T! LOVE ME! LOVE ME! LOVE ME!”

Mr. Trump at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

“there’s ever been a president elected who in this short period of time has done what we’ve done.”

Not to be outdone on pop culture expertise, Republican members of Congress wheeled in their very own theater organ to accompany a showing of The Birth of a Nation in support of rolling back voting rights.

A rabid dog with a leg missing would be a better president than what you have now.

Fuck SeaWorld. Times Infinity.

Who’s “we”, exactly?

Yeah, i’m happy to criticize Oprah she’s earns it, but I don’t think this incident or the Duggar one were handled improperly.

Unpopular opinion: Oprah/Harpo did their due diligence in a manner that didn’t throw an abused woman to the public wolves. No way do they give a shit about Puzder, so maybe they weren’t so keen to make Fierstein collateral damage (see: another hash mark in the “wimmin be lyin’, just look at this flip-flopper” column).

I miss how before a commercial break, she would say “We’ll be right back, we’ll be right back.” Twice. As if she were reading one mindlessly off of a cue card, and the other came straight from the heart. Thank you, Oprah.

Oprah didn’t go public with an (at that time) unsubstantiated allegation — she did take it seriously and reported it, though, which got the ball rolling (not that it went far, but that isn’t on her):

To be fair, who wouldn’t go to such elaborate and life-altering lengths for a free trip to Chicago?

Let’s take the word “racist” out of this conversation. This photo shoot is “cultural appropriation.” Cultural appropriation is NOT any and all cultural borrowing. It is cultural borrowing that takes place within a context where one culture dominates another. In this case we are talking about the culture of New York

Does anyone with modelling experience have any idea how much advanced warning these women get? As in, when she (or more likely, her agent) agrees to a shoot, does she know what she will be wearing and how it will be styled? Or does she get more of an overview, “I booked a Vogue shoot for you, its a diversity theme”. I

She went to NYU. She’s educated, not some ignorant bimbo. But people will always bend over backwards to find some reason to absolve blonde ladies from their sins.

She seems pretty smart to me, since one of the things she does on the side is teach girls about coding and STEM careers. And I give her huge credit for that, especially given the power of that message coming from a literal supermodel. Not defending her choice in this case, but we all have our blind spots and her

I can’t remember, did Beyonce ever apologize for this?

Racism is when someone thinks a race a beneath theirs, this was not racism. She thought a kimono was hip and didn’t take into account the cultural significance.
