Honestly, it was just a pretty solid episode of basic Star Trek. Which is really refreshing.
“Somewhat” seems like a brutal understatement there.
I'll take your word for it, but I don’t think “he only *pretends* to be a whiny, petty asshole for money and attention” is an especially persuasive defense
I still love that they had to make all the other Amazonian’s have Israeli accents because Gal Gadot can’t manage anything else.
I can only hope that these will be clips from the movies with narration by Michael Peña as Luis.
Since The Falcon and the Snowman was already taken, I’ll accept this second-best title attempt.
I’ve had to laugh - seriously laugh - at some of my fellow white people’s responses to Boyega’s speech in the past 24 hours. Look, kids, we know he’s English. We know. He’s one of the finest actors to come out of the United Kingdom in the past 30 years and I dearly hope he’ll be showcasing what he can do for many…

The Gormenghast Trilogy lives in a rarefied place with only one other book, Finnegan’s Wake, being the two novels I couldn’t complete. I love Umberto Eco, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, all kinds of difficult texts, but I never got more than 5 or 6 pages into Titus Groan. I just couldn’t. I’d stop and reread a sentence two…
I can think of a lot of things I’d rather see Gaiman use his clout to make. Maybe a Book of the New Sun miniseries.
