Just drove a 2018 Equinox as a rental two weeks ago, and if that’s the same engine in the base Camaro, do not get it. The turbo lag is a motherfucker. No noticeable torque until you are closer to 3000rpm. That engine is a turd.
Then I would gladly pay my share to help out the cause. It’s called a social contract. You want a society to thrive, youbhave to realize that it’s a collective effort, not just everyone for themselves. The “fuck everybody else” mentality never gets anyone anywhere. Be humble, be thankful, and you can still enjoy your…
My wife had one when we got married. The 4-cylinder was gutless. The interior was shit, with trim paint peeling off around the shifter. The only good feature was the oscillating air vents in the middle of the dash. I wish all cars come with that.
Don’t expect me to feel sorry for the rich getting taxed to benefit a greater good. It’s an idea that this country should get behind all along.
I would say offer all three gasoline engines that are currently available in the Silverado. Even the 4.3L V6 is more potent than the 350 of that era. I would drive one with the modern V6 with no shame. 285hp/305lb-ft is probably all I need.
The 4WD wagons, absolutely. Most if those are ruined by the Stance Bros.
I’m greedy, so here they are:
So much this. Except make them not sluggish this time. I’ve wanted a 2-door Tahoe/Yukon 4WD, and the good examples are hard to come by these days.
Me too. Over 25 years old, and still the design looks relevant today, and gorgeous. This is also when Nissan cared about interior materials and ergonomics.
Their Alabama and SC plants are non-union.
Really? Hyundai? Toyota? Nissan? Mazda? BMW? Mercedes Benz? I don’t see these companies doing business with unions here in their factories in the US.
At one point unions had reasons to exist, and they served the members with great worthiness. These days, unions are like thugs demanding protection money (union dues), and they do very little to serve their members, other than getting in the way of putting people to work. During the industrial revolution, unions were…
That’s why I’ll never understand owning an exotic car. I have the means to own low-end exotic cars, but I won’t. When I own a car, I want to drive it. I’ll be as careful with it as possible, but I want to take it out for runs in the canyons, drop the hammer on the freeways at 3am, when there’s no one around, or cruise…
You’re on point with this. Also, it provides an asylum for underperforming employees. Not the ones that genuinely need help to catch up to speed, but the ones that think they can fuck off and get away with it. The result is shitty products that can’t compete, but you are still bound by union contract, so you can’t…
Good luck with pushing any more of these turds. A two year-old Nissan Leaf S coming off of lease is less than $10k, with better interior, tech, and way more comfortable. It also has a slightly further range, and faster.
Good. Fuck unions. Nothing good in the last thirty years ever come out of the UAW occupying the Big Three’s shops.
The Miata drove like an asshole with something to prove. It’s a gen-1 Miata. Get over it. You’re not in a Huracan.
I was digging the paint job until I saw the red trim pieces inside the truck. Fuck that, indeed. CP.
