I mean, it’s a very logical step for electric cars as drivetrains usually determine a good amount of variability in design. Electric motors should massively simplify things. Most of what they show of teslas gives a very skateboard-esque feel like the old body pans.
Why did it take so long? Most of the cars I have driven have been electronically limited to around 110- 120 for ages. The tires they put on probably aren’t even rated for 150mph.
