@dohtem: yeah, my Verizon phone (any CDMA network, for that matter) sucks at my house. I have to go outside just to make a call. T-mo and AT&T work great at my place, my girlfriend has T-mo and it's the only way I can even complete a call at my house.

So, I get a new account, then merge it with my girlfriend's to get on a family plan?

Do this and leave Verizon, or wait for the R2 Droid?
