An issue with Teddy saying anything about the maze is that it's from Ford's new-and-improved Wyatt-red-herring Teddy. I suppose you can take some of what he said at face value, because he is retelling stories from the natives (who also held half-truths in their spirit-walker stories), but he could just be relaying
