Agent Still Alive

Samuel L. Jackson was paid to show up and sass everyone.

Especially because he got really good this episode. I've been enjoying him up until now, but this episode is the one where he finally established himself as the character I currently find the most interesting.

She's a whore. She was paid off.

That's my assumption. It's not like they showed him being hit. Still shocking, though.

The line about Laurel being a "hope-giving macguffin" reminds me of Katara on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Damn, I wish Laurel was as badass as Katara.

They subverted expectations last season with Malcolm and Tommy, so I'm trying to have faith!

For some reason, I thought his death would be…more bloody? I mean, it's in his name!

Better that than Mandarin. I cringe every time I hear Amell attempt it.

Petition to start a Felicity nickname meme on AV Club?

I mentioned this line in my own post, but I gotta mention it again.

I thought this episode was excellent. A+.

So did I. Didn't realize until you pointed it out.

Ward's utter devotion to Garrett is just…ugh. I love how twisted it is. He goes against his own conscious in order to live up to Garrett's expectations. Really, is there anything more evil than that? Doing terrible things despite recognizing them for what they are?

Nah, too many people die too often for mourning periods THAT long.

Does anyone really know?

Lol, yeah. I hope that we actually get the reunion of whoever is still alive in the final book, though, and not some twisted version of it.

Well, at least it wasn't in the background? So often it's just a casual thing happening around the characters, but this time it was happening to a character we've come to know.

Damn this show. That's the SECOND time they almost met but didn't. Ugh. What's it gonna take for me to get a Stark reunion?

If you call that a "sweet" relationship…
