I coach D2 track and xc. Everyone one of these athletes is trying to balance school, athletics, work, family, and its amazing how many people still give them shit because “you’re getting a scholarship.” None of them are getting even a quarter scholarship. Being involved in sports has been the most rewarding experience

Same here! My Gpa was racist as fuuuck and he always gave me shit for liking/watching the Hoyas. If anything I leaned in harder on liking them/defying my racist grandpa.

I nominally rooted for Pitt, because I (stupidly) assumed that rooting for the team that’s from where you’re from is what honorable people did

Man Damon I had my Wee Bey moment back then when someone peeped to me to look at the end of the Gtown bench and lo and behold....it wasnt a bunch of whiteboys whose dads was CEO’s and former Frat presidents....it was regular ass niggas who was on scholarship but everyone knew they wasnt getting in the game....mind

Enraged? Racists delighted in his spectacle because he faked a hate crime, which undermines the credibility of other people who report hate crimes. It basically allowed racists to amplify this hoax and make it seam like that’s the norm, like real hate crimes don’t happen.

Hulk Hogan is going to be the guest home plate umpire.

I don’t live by many rules, but one of them is “Don’t gauge the popularity of a baseball player with the same xenophobia that Vince McMahon uses in deciding not to push foreign wrestlers.”

I just don’t get who wants that, though. I’m a diehard pro wrestling fan. I love me a great heel. Most of my favorite pro wrestlers were their most interesting as heels. That doesn’t mean I want some idiot talking about sports on TV to be playing a fucking heel anymore than I want a pro wrestling promo to informed,

Yeah, but Chris Berman went all in on the new, terrible ESPN. He just got more and more annoying as the years went on.

There aren’t many Spanish MLB players, historically. On the other hand, there are plenty of Spanish-speaking players...

When I think back to what ESPN once was when I was in high school, college and young adulthood, Bob Ley, Keith Olbermann & Dan Patrick doing the 11pm SportsCenter, NFL Primetime with Boomer, TJ & John Saunders, then Robin Roberts then Stu Scott, Outside The Lines, The Sports Reporters and overall intelligent coverage

Yep, he just didn’t test positive a month before he was to compete in the Olympics. He was suspended and lost a bunch of sponsorships from it for 3 months over a photo...not actually testing positive. He was also suspended for 6 months for a DUI or something like that and missed a World Championship so I am not sure

leave the Hawks ripe for a potential 3-1 hole in their series against the Bucks.

Ah sportsball practice. I miss the golden days of my youth, volleying sportsballs into the basket and shooting home runs across the net without a care in the world aside from beating the offense’s defenses. Those were the days.

Luka, who?

“Bjorn, should we also introduce a children’s toy for the holiday? Ja!, Ja! I am thinking we should call it: Pik a Ninni in the catalog, just add some umlauts for that IKEA feel. Brilliant as always, Bjorn!”

I would love nothing more than for the Hawks to beat the Bucks. Giannis and them don’t deserve to the be the ECF anyway.

George Costanza screaming “I was in the pool” didn’t shrink as bad, or as fast as Simmons did in this series.

Then I read, “..the district allowed for two unrecorded grades of Berry’s to be added to her record after the deadline had passed.”

First, regarding the missing grades — that is smoke being blown up the ass. They were added in after calculations were made, so did not effect were students ended up in final placement. And, they did not change the final course grade. The missing grades were due to a teacher error in not submitting some paperwork.
