Jordan Peele is not an especially great horror director. He has a good eye for the visual and his topicality has probably made him a darling of the hashtag cinematic slacktivist ... but he has made one good thriller. That's it. A little perspective could go a long way.

In a strange twist of irony, Jordan Peele fans cancel Jordan Peele and call for a boycott his films because he disagrees with them about Jordan Peele being the best director of horror films.

Yeah it’s pretty telling that people still talk about “Get Out”, his next one needs to be at that level.

Thank merciful what-have- you; that show was garbage.

Actually The Village works as a conventional horror-thriller period piece. But like what Peele supposedly did with Nope, Shyamalan reversed engineered the premise into a weak and undeserving twist ending.

“Lets his metaphorical aspirations get ahead of the nuts and bolts of clear, cogent storytelling” - so it’s Us, Part II then.

Wasn’t Pronto Holmes a cowboy from The Old West?

Shymalan's turds are particularly rancid, though. Lady in the Water, Last Airbender, the Village, The Happening, and After Earth are all dreadful. And most of his other movies aren't exactly great. 

Us could have given less explanation and as a result been a better movie.

Just like M Night, Peele peaked right out of the gate.

No! No more stories, no more glasses of water, no more Halloweens!

I honestly like Halloween 2018. It’s not, like, a transcendent dazzlement of the senses, it’s not ultra original, but it delivers, it’s well-made, it’s a good sequel. Fucking way better than Halloween 5, 6, and 8.

I want a Halloween 3 prequel. Let’s see these crazy ass druids infiltrate corporate America.

Cannot wait for this movie to be the absolute worst film I’ve ever seen, a place previously held by Halloween Kills!

The first “reboot” was enjoyable enough. No classic, but delivered what was promised: more Curtis vs Myers. 3 out of 5 stars kind of film.

And what makes you think that this movie will be any better, considering it’s THE EXACT SAME DIRECTOR?

Genre tourists are the worst. Can this movie suck as bad as Us so we can stop pretending Jordan Peele is the love child of Malcolm X and Steven Spielberg?  Please?

I’m assuming Carruthers will meet you out front with the Bentley to chauffer you to Heinrich’s.
