That Cheddar Melt was the best thing McDonald’s ever made.  And I like McDonald’s.

The Danish do something similar with a salty licorice candy called Turkish Pepper that has a powdery pepper center. When dissolved into vodka (or maybe it was aquavit) if becomes a drink called a ‘Small Grey’ which is Danish slang for ‘brain’.  I like the candy, but I don’t remember being particularly impressed with

I love cashews, pineapple is my favorite fruit, and creme brulee my favourite dessert.  I’m not much of a baker, but now I have no damn choice.

Oh, of course. I think I should have read it out loud to myself before posting. Sheesh.

Are you sure?  I’ve lived in Boston for 20 years and have never seen one here. Any particular neighborhood? I can’t seem to find any used ones for sale in the area either, though I didn’t try super-hard.

I”m also quite fond of the Ka, though I’ve never driven or been a passenger in one. When I was living in the UK in the late 90's, someone on my street owned one and I enjoyed walking by it every day on the way home. It looked so markedly different than every other car I saw in Britain in those days and I appreciated

One of the things I always liked about Wings was that it had two brother characters that actually seemed like brothers. With most television shows, I accept brother characters as brothers only because the show tells me to and I never completely buy it. Daly and Weber worked really well together.

That would explain why I’ve always found British chocolate to be far too sweet and without much chocolate flavor.

With this and the other recent pie recipes, I may move to an all-pie diet.

I didn’t know when I woke up this morning, but this is what I’ve been waiting for from the internet since it was invented.

Yeah, I’ve never had soda bread in Ireland that came with raisins in it. I’m sure it exists somewhere, but I haven’t seen it. It always frustrates me that American supermarkets rarely offer raisin-free soda bread. I don’t actually mind the raisins, but that version isn’t as flexible.

Oh, freezing is a good idea.  I think I’ll try that first and maybe scale down in the future. Thanks!

Allison, at what temperature would you recommend baking this?  I love clams and I love a savory pie, so I’m keen to try it.  However, I’m only one person and don’t think I could eat the whole thing before it eventually went bad.  How feasible would scaling it down be?

A couple of years ago, I discovered a 1991 Nissan Figaro in a parking garage in Cambridge, UK. I was particularly thrilled by this because I was unaware of the existence of such a car until I actually saw it.

I love the Alan Partridge Christmas Special. He opens the show by quickly turning hostile towards the viewing audience and daring them to try to break into his home. It deteriorates from there and ends in chaos. It might be the most accurate depiction of the Christmas experience ever filmed.

I can’t fold a fitted sheet. I’ve consulted diagrams and watched YouTube videos and I still can’t seem to grasp it. Even when friends try to explain it to me, the process still makes no sense.

Yeah, Trump only does these things to siphon glory for himself and call attention to himself. To accept an award from him is to participate in this nauseating dynamic and implicitly endorse it. Then again, I have a hard time understanding how anyone being celebrated by Trump could feel honored and not simply disgusted.

I couldn’t agree more. I actually quite like shows with horrible characters as long as the show knows they’re horrible. Horrible characters that a show thinks are delightful and charming are an easy way for me to tell that a show is not for me. It’s Always Sunny in Philedelphia knows its characters are terrible

I think most people are just not used to hearing a hot dog referred to as a sandwich, so their reflex is to say that a hot dog is not a sandwich. When asked why not, they quickly realize there isn’t really any reason to claim that a hot dog is not a sandwich so they start flailing for some kind of evidence to support

I don’t think it’s an absolutely terrible show because it does have good jokes from time to time. It does have an unfortunate tendency to think that simply mentioning something ‘nerdy’ somehow counts as a joke. A character says the word ‘Spock’ and the audience goes nuts even though there’s no joke at all. That annoys
