Was at Nats game this past weekend. Of course the Binboxes are no wheres near the main entrance. You have to walk down past the parking garage and hang a right. I watched a woman be compelled to empty out her (brand new) forbidden back pack and leave it in the trash for the security of the others. What a joke.

I fully expect their will be exemptions. The first to be granted will be for city councilman, the Mayors office and staff and various administrators. Who else will be determined on their paricular political connections.

I’m hoping the English Guy can provide us a proper primer on colonialism, and how to look down upon others for it, while quietly having a history of ‘owning’ up to one quarter of the earth and its inhabitants at one point. But please continue to sneer down your gin and tonic at us septics. Good show old boy!

With the case sealed, we’ll never quite know what the hell happened” Everything mentioned in this story, and all these comments, and not a word about Tina Tchen, or Kim Foxx? Its almost like you don’t realize this took place in Chicago. Its like sticking your head in the sand and asking why its so dark out.

As a life long jets fan and Patriot hater who can barely keep from kicking in his TV when the Pats when their next Superbowl, even I could care less that Kraft went to a shady massage parlor. He’s as sorry as he needs to be, which is to say, not much. Rich old white guy got a consensual handie. OK now what? Is he

I guess that if it was done by a very good tuner shop, and he had, and is showing the paperwork, showing same, and he had some paperwork from a reputable chassis dyno shop showing that the system was properly integrated and the a/f and fuel maps tuned correctly, then maybe its worth the coin. Otherwise no.

This is true. Basic, pedestrian cars of the 70s had the added bonus of never being sure if they would start on a cold morning; having to learn the specific starting requirements/idiosyncrasies of a car in certain weather conditions (starting a car when hot, when it’s damp, first thing in the morning), things like

My brother works as a tech at an Audi dealer. Once told me in whispered tones “Never....ever.... buy an Audi that is out of warranty”.

I know that Miura in that color is gorgeous.

Seeing a Bugatti Type 35 driving in snow is twisting my brain.

I’ve always had a sort of half assed fantasy about building a hyper-miler out of an old Honda HF coupe (if any are left), and build it out with deisel or tsi injection hybrid powerplant transplant. Do a bunch of aero mods, skirts, skinny, low resistance tires, weight reduction, and all. Wonder what you could

If you notice anything about these customer car hoon stories on Jalopnik it’s that if someone is going to go public with their tale of woe, they typically also tend to be making unreasonable compensation demands on the shop and are looking for social media to validate their demands.

I can one up you. On my commute this morning I saw a 2012 Fisker Karma SS EVer. Teslas are a dime a dozen here in NJ; I’ver never ever seen one of these in the wild before.

Tesla is ignoring marketing their cars to the underserved narcoleptic market. Missed opportunity!

This thing makes me want to go dig up the chase scene from “To Live and Die in LA”.

I remember back in the day (dating myself here) a National Lampoon cartoon imagining Saudi princes repurposing tankers as giant motorcycles and hooning them around when they became obsolete in the future.

“stop pursing the video”

In college I drove one of the spiritual forebears to this car, a 1978 Corolla (2 door 4 spd, 1.2L w/55hp, and about 2000 lbs) It was painfully slow (0-60 in around 30 seconds), but it was actually a very engaging car to drive on a back road. It was light, rack and pinion manual steering and brakes were very direct,

Was kind of hoping for some sort of feedback on how the thing actually drives now that he put all this time and effort into it. Buehler?

I vote NP. Part of that is my nostalgia for my first ride being a 72 Celica ST, and being a fan of Celicas in general; the other part is I think we need to recognize that although 98% of us would never justify this car at that price, myself included I might add, there IS a small market out there of people who will see
