Michelle Mouton - arguably one of , if not the most successful woman driver of all time, and head of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, on the W- Series said in an interview with Le Figaro that there was a “limited level” in the all-female series “since the best performers don’t participate.”

I clicked on the link firmly suspecting that the Yellow Bird wasnt going to be on the list, after having seen the state of Jalopnik as of late (including describing the Buick GNX as having a straight 6). Seeing the W125 described as a ‘1960's racer’ halfway through pretty much guaranteed it wasnt going to be included.

And make sure you post the Scarlet O’Hara flouncing out the door meme as your last post.

Why do you need Twitter specifically to cater to you?”

In the early 80s I was a lot boy at the local Ford Dealership during the summer. A guy I recognized from High School (varsity football player)came in driving his car that I immediately knew, an honest to god 1969 Ford Talladega (canary yellow/blacked out hood) on Torque Thrust wheels. It was gorgeous. The leaf springs

The guy only had a contract with the Country Club, not the dealership, he paid the money at their event, and they were the ones declaring the prize. Its not up to the golfer to resolve any conflict with the dealership (if indeed there was any), thats up to the Country Club to resolve. Basically the responsibility lies

Quite true, I’ve seen a couple of documentaries about F1 safety, and I recall Stewart being interviewed about that harrowing Spa wreck, and lack of safety improvements that resulted in the driver boycott of the 1969 Spa event which lead to its cancellation.

Yeah just came here to say this. For a US based automotive site to do a clickbait slideshow on Spa’s greatest moments and omit Gurney’s win in 67??? WTF Over?? Holy crap, that’s painful.

Anyone who would spend $200k for a fake Batmobile is, by assumed definition, a douche bag. Engage accordingly.

Reading between the lines here, I am guessing the people taking their cars in had to go through/past the guys working the picket line. The inference seems to be that they were hassling customers bringing their cars in, probably yelling at them and being slow to move, if it was enough for the dealership to file a grieva

If only automotive journalists had other venues other than Twitter to talk about cars.....

Now it can blow oil out of the bottom end, clutch cable, and rocker box at 3x the normal rate!

He laughed, then saw the look on her face, and it said, you need to take care of this or you are catching a Uber home. That said, I didnt watch the Oscars (like many of us). I’m positive the Academy Aperture 2025 plan will have the desired affect on its waning popularity. /s

Its all fun and games for the county until they try to get the sheriff to enforce their tax lien, and go change the locks on the door and post a public auction notice and the ‘house’ is gone. If there is no deed with a registered Lot and Block number filed with the clerk, it aint a house.

Agree on Death Proof. I REALLY looked forward to that one too. Tarantino? Car Chases? Take my money! Then I saw it. My God, who the heck talks like that, besides people with a large coke budget?  Tarantino needed someone shoulder surfing his script writing. Too much stupid superfluous dialog. By the end I wanted to be

Thats likely because most of the houses in the Albany area were  built in 1920 and are small with no closet space.

Excusing felony theft to screed against class warfare? Go screw Erin? Want to not get fired from this job too? Dont try to be a SJW on a car site. You aint kidding anyone here. Keep your personal politics out of your ‘reporting’. You have no idea about the people behind these thefts but you like to imagine theyre just

You’re possibly missing the intended context of the ad, Dave. Those Gremlins were more or less targeted at the young secretary crowd. AMC didnt want those ladies to feel vulnerable driving a little Gremlin.

You will get bit in the ass. If you wait for the market to drop you also have to wait till the value of the home the taxes are based on is reassessed as well, if your concerned about the annual taxes in addition to the purchase price.

On the other hand a lot of municipalities (I live in NJ) are scrambling to do reassessments while the property values are high. And of course, this being NJ, when they do, they never totally adjust the rate back down so the taxes are the same. So the net effect is basically being taxed on unrealized gains.
