I just picked up a Canon PowerShot S95 and absolutely love it. My history with Canon PowerShot cameras goes WAY back, starting with the S200, then the S330, S500, and the SD630. They've consistently delivered amazing features and quality in tiny packages. I also currently own a 40D DSLR, so the P&S is the laptop bag

@Revolutions<: Ask in the forum! Very helpful folks.

@morejunk4me: At least you know you may have lost some hearing over the years and aren't claiming that there IS no difference.

@dickfreckle: Yeah... pretty sad.. I thought I'd see the day when I could get a 500GB 1.8" hard drive and swap out that thing in the iPod Classic. Oh well.

@philosopher_dog: OS X users have Quicksilver to manage shortcomings... Windows users have AutoHotkey.

@Gonzie: I understand and know the keyboard and navigation methods behind Finder and OS X. I also use OS X daily. It's just not very intuitive if you ask me.

I don't need it, but I use GPS for keeping tabs on things... I also find it makes me a safer driver by knowing what is coming up.

This ability is nice is OS X, but a too many shortcuts are just plain ridiculous.

@morejunk4me: Actually, I have an iPod Classic 160GB with a selection of things in Apple Lossless. The beauty of FLAC or any lossless format is that I can convert it to anything I want with no worries about re-ripping. FLAC to or from ALAC is 1:1.

@lego6245: You might want to have a look at a very non-scientific blog post I wrote a few years ago. Link is below.

@Traveshamockery: I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices the better quality. I am an audio engineer by trade, so I am a bit picky. I'm often told on forums and comments that I have no basis for claims stating I can hear the difference between lossless and lossy.

@dickfreckle: You make a good point. I'm not even that concerned about the size of the library. For me, it's just as easy to get on Amazon and order a few CDs for around $10 or less. They arrive next day usually with free shipping since I have a Prime membership.

Love the confession. For me, I'm all about CDs. I've said it before on various comments... until I can buy lossless audio equivalent to or better than 44.1kHz/16-bit CDs, I will continue to buy CDs. Lossy music doesn't cut it for me... nor does Apple's tricks of charging you to upgrade to your library to better sound

There are too many problems with 3DTV in the general household. The quick list:

@DanYHKim: Ah yes! As I have Workstation, I don't really use the free Player, but I know people that have. Pretty good results as far as I know.

@jchen1: Then, perhaps the title should have been "Best DESKTOP Virtual Machine Application". I think it really does depend on the host and guest OS combination.

I imagine VirtualBox won this because it is free. One thing to keep in mind is that if the guest OS is Windows or something else that is not free, you need a license for it.

It's not free, but VMware Workstation takes the cake for me. It has an edge over VirtualBox, especially for Windows guests, as it should being a rather expensive app.

I use Extended Controls, and that's been pretty awesome with a lot of customizable options.
