@robthecomputerguy: Not exactly sure what "PHP systems" you're talking about. Unless you're doing some PHP coding that's not very standard/common, I don't think this is an issue.

@bayXSonic: It's pretty awesome. I don't use or need iTunes!

I have to say... PowerPoint is pretty damn powerful/impressive these days.

A little rubbing alcohol or Windex does the trick for me.

I'm not an electrical engineer by any means, but wrapping electrical wires with more electrical wires seems like a bad idea. I know it's sub-28AWG wire, but depending on what you are wrapping, I imagine this could cause some inductive noise of some sort.

If you're selling something that still has some manufacturer warranty remaining, you should (if you wish) offer to assist in any warranty claims. That usually means filing for warranty claims or providing proof of purchase for your buyer.

@Mel Roberts: I guess I should've added "Automatically". The point is that some people are far too addicted to playing with their phone to actually use it to get things done. So, maybe an app could assist with that...

Perhaps there should be an app that turns the phone off until you get things done. Phones are just a distraction for a lot of people... The iPhone is more of a toy gadget and less of a productivity tool if you ask me. I know, it's what you make of it, and a lot of you do use it for business, but it's not intended to

I don't fly often, but depending on the airport, they can be pretty fun and entertaining...

They're not perfect, but the NS-10s are in fact a great set of speakers. They were inexpensive too, which may be a large reason they were so popular. I've listened to many hours of recording sessions on these suckers.

LaCie products, as well as many other pre-configured external drives, are largely overpriced for what they are. I've always been a fan of DIY hard drive enclosure kits such as those from OWC/MacSales... mostly because the kit + drive are much cheaper and you have a say what brand and model hard drive goes in it.

@Linh Nguyen: Living outside of the US doesn't make pirating content OK. I studied music business a bit in college and you would be surprised how the CD price is split up. Even if the artist doesn't see much of a $10 purchase, there are dozens of other people that need to get cuts besides the artist. Songwriters,

I don't use iTunes, but I do use Helium Music Manager for Windows. Best tagging program ever.

@rmardo: Yeah, I always clean install by hand.. not sure what script you're referring to. Only thing I know about is making a custom slipstreamed install disc with your drivers and unattended install settings.

@JerryA: Well, that depends on what brand of PC and where you got it. If it came from a store, chances are it has crapware. Depending on the factory image, it probably has out of date software versions and drivers.

If these were in order of things to do, I'd say #1 should be to decrapify or clean install Windows 7.

@robertjensen: I've not run into a single problem with relocating the Documents, Pictures, or other users folders. I did mention the "fit" you're talking about... which is why I don't relocate the entire C:\Users directory... only my personal folders.. The rest of my profile is right where Windows wants it.

Here's my Windows clean install tips... I have this down to a science and am wiped and back up in a couple hours or less.

@neoliminal: You still can't produce HDR images with a single RAW image. Sure, a single RAW image is far better than a JPEG and by itself its much more flexible. Sure you can manipulate RAW images to a great degree, but you can't gain back lost details due to the single shot's aperture or shutter speed setting. RAW is

@neoliminal: I don't follow you. While the concept is just a hack... most DSLRs cannot achieve REAL HDR shots in a single shot. The idea is that you combine details from different exposures. In the under-exposed shot, you preserve details that are blown out in the normal and over-exposed shots and vice versa with
