Good point, but as long as it remains opt-in, I think its a non-issue. This simply provides the option to people who might need that for whatever reason.
I think its cool as an opt-in feature. For example, if you run a contest, its fantastic to be able to ask the contest winner to DM their emails or phone numbers or whatever for their prize, and you won’t have to follow them and all that. Find the positive.
We all know why.
