Unless it includes a warranty or you buy one for it. Some places will do a 90 day warranty just to cover that 3 month period when a POS will normally show its true nature. Peace of mind warranty.
Obviously, selling the car was wrong. What’s weird to me is, how do they sell a car without a working transmission. And why would they have fixed the transmission if the warranty was no longer in force? (12,000 miles was the limit)
When you’re a responsible adult human and not a mewling infant who can just blame others for your constant failures, it gets exhausting. I can see the draw.
Hard disagree. It’s a little dated, sure, but have you seen a mid 2000s Chryslerberus interior? Or a 996 Porsche?
I can justify this treatment because the idiot probably should have sorted the parking situation before signing the purchase agreement. No one forced him to buy the thing.
Time for a screen name update!
This is actually not true, though the usage still doesn’t fit here. And it very well may have originated with a guy named Jerry who built things shoddily. There were originally two terms:
Jury-Rigged: Nautical term used to describe rigging that was improvised. In the case of structural damage to a sailing vessel, the…
Ummm, with the mid-gate, the Hummer H2 SUT had more usable bed area (6 feet) than any current 1/2 ton truck with a standard bed length. So if it’s only getting the hate because of its bed then maybe we should rethink that. Sure, you couldn’t haul stuff AND people at the same time, but it could still do truck things…
I still might want aftermarket wheels. Just not those...
Lol. Lobbing their own “edgy” alt-right insult back at them? I don’t hate it...
Can’t really take credit for it. But it’s at least better than “Repuglicans” or similar word changing idiocy I see all the time. Usually from the right with stuff like “Democraps”.
Typical MAGA CHUD response. “I’m breaking the law and they want to prosecute me for it. It’s harrassment!”
I heard that, internally, some people at GM termed this the Envoy SUX. Nice Robocop reference.
Mid 2000s Diamler-Cerebus trash almost always can be included as the worst of any type of car.
Like most GM vehicles of this type during this era, this thing had a mid-gate, which gave you 6 feet of bed-space and made you all feel dumb for your bad takes.
Every time I see one of these on the road, I’m struck by just how awkward and ill-proportioned it is. I don’t notice anything weird in the RAM’s design, which this is based on, but for some reason this thing looks like a turd. The detailing is all very nice. It’s purely a stance and proportion thing. It doesn’t sit…
Hybrids are almost never paired with turbos, because the goal is fuel economy and the torque of a turbo is unneeded when you have an electric motor assist. I’d say, for the most part, the gasoline engine part of hybrids is often pretty low tech/older engines.
