Not a lot to add, and maybe it's already been brought up, but did anyone else think that it looked like the Pazuzu statue was standing in front of the window during the heavy-exorcism stuff? If not, then the DP/gaffing team lucked into a lighting scheme that was really effective for me!

I felt the same after the first few episodes, especially in the first one where there's a lingering shot of the water tower! (Granted I liked Super 8, but saw its flaws.)

I honestly almost expected Miller to announce that he was (or somehow, Scully had figured out) he was William! Which would've been nearly as "original" and unexpected as a UFO appearing with a beam.
