When bananas go a bit to black, or strawberries go a bit too squishy, I throw them in the freezer. Then later when I have time, I make smoothies. You have to zap the banana to peel it. #winter
We got our landlord to allow us to have our dog by putting together his own resume, with vax certificates, a previous landlords reference, a couple of photos (he's cute) and certificates from training school.
I lay out a little tablecloth/napkin. Makes it a bit more classy.
I have fruit in a bowl, but if it is getting a bit squishy, and I can't eat it all now, I stick it in the freezer as is. Then later I can make a frosty fruit smoothie with my blender.

@Jason: When I'm shredding stapled papers, I just tear the corner off. But it would be nice to have a tough shredder.

I've had a couple of these over the years. Sadly a key part is made of plastic, and it would snap off and the whole thing would be useless.
