@mdrisser: Seconded. In fact, I used HTML Tidy plus the GUI as my primary HTML editor for a long time. The tidying features would give me instant validation, and prettify the code at the same time.

Swallow a teaspoon of malt vinegar. You can feel it go down, and it works every time for me. Maybe it's the shock!

I must have posted this here so many times....

This will be good for my EeePC and its tiny tiny screen.

You can also use Excel's graphing to easily (once it's set up) create Gantt charts. I described it here:

When I buy something online, and the site says to "print this receipt for your records", I print it to my PDF printer driver which creates a PDF, rather than to paper.

You can clean your mouse with paper clips, but beware:

A colleague had a voice recording of his young son on his PDA that would call out at 5pm every day, "Time to come home now, Daddy!"

Repeat prescription for asthma inhaler:

Don't forget to change the time on your digital camera when travelling! I have 100 shots of sunny LA that according to the EXIF timestamps were taken in the middle of the night!

Most water companies in the UK offer free devices to put in the cistern as part of their 'save water' campaigns. Either a simple stiff open-topped plastic bag, or a plastic carton you fill with water or sand.

Will Self's use of post-it's is amazing. As far as colours are concerned, AL Kennedy's uses a deep red that is the same as the colour you see when you eyes are closed, so she says.

A colleague had a tape dictaphone, and he would say a couple of sentences, then say in his normal voice, "beeeeeeeeeeeep". Repeat.

I can't get Compiz Fusion to work on my machine (graphics drivers problem), so instead I use Tilda, which gives a drop-down terminal with a keypress, FPS-style.
