I’m not sure that at that point in time men needed any sort of cover to treat women like shit in Hollywood.

How about we don’t infantilize adult women. I work with a bunch of 23 year old grad students who could hand me my intellectual ass. If they decide to date a man in his fifties, that’s their business.

Yep, I would take the least effective scare in Sinister over the entirety of The Witch, Babadook and most of the rest of the new canon of horror movies that have been getting 90%+ on rotten tomatoes then boring me to tears in the theater.

Based on the kinds of horror movies that get 80%+ on Rotten Tomatoes, I’ll take a 30% any day.

Meh....it doesn’t matter how good your justification is for what happened during your movie if the movie wasn’t actually very engaging. Nobody watched Star Wars for the rock solid reasoning behind its space wizard-ing. They liked it because it showed them cool shit, and Darth Maul is cool shit.

I used to work at a building in Albuquerque where TV crews regularly filmed. It seemed like the PAs’ jobs mostly consisted of standing at the edge of the set desperately trying to convince us that whatever was happening in our work day was less important than the scene they were currently shooting. Unfortunately,

Uh no, it isn’t. For starters, Veronica had already defeated the villain. The man responsible is already in jail, and Logan’s death didn’t lead Veronica on revenge plot. You can’t say he was a plot device when his death was a consequence rather than a motivation.

“Imagining a world where he’s not involved in the Veronica Mars mystery cases, and just served as the happy husband or happy boyfriend wasn’t appealing to me.”

I loved the ending. It wasn’t perfect, but it served a purpose and makes for a more interesting future. Thematically, it fits, and I look forward to Season 5, if they’re able to make one.

Yeah, that does occur to me, but these aren’t steam ships; it still takes a while to get back to the dock. Maybe they got lucky and the wind reversed course for them, but I still prefer the wizard explanation when paired with all of his other powers/examples of incredible luck.

You’re just proving my point here. If someone calls you a hypocrite, “You are too” is not so much a defense as an admission of guilt.

You say with no self-awareness at all.

How do you continue reading DOZENS OF COMMENTS, when you actually believe the writers are time wasting trolls?

What if, instead of genuine hacks, they were secret geniuses? Perhaps they’ll reveal at the end of this that there was a reason for all of the fuzzy logic and fast traveling...like, maybe this is all just Jon Snow’s dying thoughts and the real resolution starts next episode.

Euron is no ninja; he’s a wizard. I thought that was clear from how he ambushed Dany’s fleet, and in the next scene he has teleported into Cersei’s chambers to tell her about it. Clearly D&D are saving the reveal of the full extent of his powers for the final battle.

Thank you so much for being here to police our enjoyment of the show. I thought I was watching the show for the fun of analyzing the characters’ choices and trying to guess what might happen next, but clearly instead I should have asked you so you could tell me it’s all just magic that isn’t supposed to make sense and

Fringe - “Peter”, “Olivia. In the Lab. With the Revolver” finishing with “White Tulip” but it could also work starting with “White Tulip” followed by “The Man from the Other Side” ending on “Brown Betty”. This is where the show went from “really cool” to the best thing on television. The first three episodes of Season

I like technical music but guitar solos aren't really my thing, per se. However, I once attended a local show in Denver a few years ago where a (now defunct, I think) progressive metal band played a set that included what ended up being my favorite solo of all time:

See, this is exactly what I'm talking about. Nightwish paved the way for Evanescence? How about the other way around? Fallen by Evanescence shipped 17+ MILLION units worldwide in 2003. Nightwish didn't even chart outside of Europe until two years later. And Nightwish is far closer to the mainstream than all of the

Lol, what? I think you need to recheck your numbers, buddy; you can't get higher than #1. Again, we're probably talking a 10x difference in actual sales.
