Sounds like a genuine case of mental illness here to me, just wish the media was covering it that way.

why make new thing when have old thing >:("

This, this is what I was trying to say in another thread, it’s not that the thing can’t be done, it’s just that unless this is someone’s Grand Life’s Work, they’re probably not going to do it sincerely and with love.  That would involve interviewing a diverse range of people in that group and spending tons of time

I get what you’re saying but it kind of sounds like they ARE trying to write her as black--just black from a white person’s perspective, i.e.--angry at the world, frustrated at social issues, and not much else in her head.  “I’m  black and it sucks to be me in this world so I’m always angry” is, I think, the concern

This character is...from New York? What exactly are you saying here? Cultural origin absolutely makes a difference since she’s a black girl from New York; if she was FROM this world I’d agree with you but she’s not.

I'm sorry did you go to a gaming opinion site and not expect to hear opinions about games

Yeah, same here. It only recognizes my Verizon bill.

How long until we can connect this to fighting games like blazblue on switch? Asking for a friend.

My issue with your argument is that the deception is right out in the open. She’s using very thick very intense filters to hide her face in those photos. Anyone who glances at them knows that that’s not what she looks like. To use your example, it’s a bit like if someone posted a photo of the 1984 oldmobile, covered,

Precisely this! People are saying that the viewers were misled but I’d be willing to bet that she was tossing out a number that she doubted would be met so that she could make some money.

Have you...never been in a heterosexual relationship? Because I have and there are definitely no d e f i n e d  roles. What she's good at, she does, and what I'm good at, I do. We figure it out as we go. Just like same-sex couples.

Am I the only one who thinks that a steam game isn’t going to inspire people to go out and commit a crime?  I get the reflexive horror but aren’t there other “porn”-y games on steam?  Humans both male /and/ female are sometimes into this rape fantasy and if this kind of thing can keep that fantasy a fantasy I’m all

Yes! I think a lot of people don’t really get this? I really hated that stuff in GOW1 and 2 but on playing 3, the hypermasculinity and pointless sexuality seemed less like something you were meant to be enjoying and more like something that was meant to make you just the slightest bit uncomfortable.
Just enough that

Oh, no, it said “Arrow” as in an arrow indicator, as opposed to the weapon. Like this thing ->

You mean like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?

Just wanna pop in here; I never watched the prequels—but as a child I had read some Star Wars reference books and they explicitly stated that the crystals within lightsabers are activated by a channeling of the force. So, yeah, I was shocked as well. I’m assuming that’s extended universe stuff, though.

Because I followed your advice and threw my tv out ):

Uh. Okay, so as a non privileged person of color, let me reiterate that this is not helping. This served no purpose.

I only just started playing it recently myself, I’m only about level 9 and I’ve got to say it actually is quite fun. The only thing is that lower level players tend to not understand the concept of “teamwork” so you just have to be prepared to grind through a lot of terrible games before you get to the higher leveled
