Something I found that -really- helped me a lot was zooming (Ctrl+mouse up) in making the distance you need to overlap larger. At 100% it “worked” but I couldn’t keep it for even a full second. 150-170%? Gold.

I could make it out once spoiled...the overlap was too close together for me, kept losing focus. I need at least a half inch, and it gets easier the more overlap there is.
