I think the idea is that typically men often forget to credit women, so this is a reminder to think about it and actively do it, so that men aren’t the only ones getting credit. If your workplace isn’t typical in this regard, then that’s great!

I legitimately have breakfast, lunch, and dinner reminders on my phone and they have very much improved my life. :D
Plus if the AirBnB is an actual home, you’re less likely to find partway through your trip that your missing some random thing you were expecting to have access to, like a strainer, or a bottle opener, and there are less likely to be issues that only happen when no one is ever in the apartment, like arriving to find…
Oh I see. From the phrasing “tip in cash, not on your receipt” it kind of made it sound like those were the only options. Thanks for explaining!
So, I just want to clarify something. You mention both cash and writing on credit card receipts, in an article about mobile delivery apps. I live in Canada, and the entire payment process is done on the app here, whether it’s UberEats, Skip the Dishes, or whatever. You pick your food, use your thumbprint to confirm…
I stopped going to a Magic the Gathering meetup because of an asshole. I kind of miss the game and some of the other people, but I do feel like I have less stress in my life now that I’m not spending every Tuesday evening waiting for that guy to say something deeply offensive, mildly problematic, or just combative and…
I sent this reply to claudec32 but then for some reason had trouble finding my reply again, I’m finding it a little confusing figuring out what replies are visible under what circumstances. Anyway here it is again:
Wanikani. It costs money but has a free trial period. :)
Tae Kim (guidetojapanese.org) for grammar, Wanikani for kanji, basicjapaneselessons.com for listening practice, and http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/ for reading practice. :) Wanikani and basicjapaneselessons cost money but have free trail periods. Oh and there’s lots of great info on Japanese Ammo with Misa on Youtube.
I find DuoLingo really helpful as a supplement to other resources, because if you just do a little every day, it helps keep the grammar and vocabulary in your mind. Just using DuoLingo on its own is tough though because it doesn’t actually take the time to teach you things before quizzing you on them, so I tend to get…
OMG That Forest app tip is genius!
Don’t buy property. Don’t buy a fixer-upper and then fail to fix it up. Don’t let the real estate agent talk you into the one place she showed you that’s outside your price range. Don’t buy property when everything’s expensive, even if your parents are helping with the down payment, because the value will only go down…
What’s your favorite processed, totally craptastic food you enjoy more than homemade? Instant ramen noodles.
This was a good explanation, thank you for this info! I didn’t know all this before. :)
I didn’t learn about any new tips, lifehacks, gadgets, or apps, but this was all very relatable and I enjoyed reading it. Sleep, snacks, walks, writing things on paper in longhand... A+ content heh :)
This is really surprising to me, I thought they only had issues with liquids. Did they tell you the reason the wipes aren’t allowed?
LOL Yes it does! I use the bullet journal mainly for weekly to do lists, meal planning, and notes about how things have gone. I use the TeuxDeux app for daily to do lists including recurring tasks. I only use the iPhone reminders to remind me when to eat. :)
Is it still good if I use all three goods?
Thanks for writing this. This has been a very stressful time, and you capture a lot of the thought loops really well. You’re doing a great job. My condolences about your comment section.
This is a great idea!
