Since there are fewer jars than days of the week, I’m assuming you microwave for a minute and eat part of a jar, put it back in the fridge, and then microwave for another minute the next day? Am I understanding correctly?

  • The food stuffs within must be compartmentalized neatly, and in a way that almost whispers to the consumer “Hush now, you are safe. There is order in this world after all.”

I usually assume that if a recipe doesn’t specify a weight or volume, then the weight/volume doesn’t need to be exact and it’ll be fine. If you’re baking, the specific amount of baking powder is important, but if you’re making stew, eh, put in some approximate amount of onion. If the author of the recipe doesn’t care

Hm, if part of the point is so that the people you’re NOT looking at will pay more attention, I’m curious if it works just as well (from the audience’s perspective) to just look at a point in the room (or various points in the room). Like, if it looks like you’re looking at someone in the audience, is that just as

This looks really useful, thanks! I like how easy it makes it to write tabs - if you write one dash, it fills in all 6 rows. I also like being able to tap the chord name to hear the sound. Unfortunately it does get confused if you try to put more than one chord between two words of lyrics. I’ll send in some feedback.

I have a pair of custom earplugs (they lower all pitches the same amount so nothing is distorted and you can still make out conversations). I got them for performing music but now I carry them around everywhere because they help me so much in crowded or noisy situations, which I encounter a lot because I live

Hm I wonder if I’m currently overdoing the amount of fat I eat. My doctor basically said: reduce net carbs as much as possible, have a moderate amount of protein, and then eat as much fat as you want until you’re full. So I eat a lot of cheese, eggs, creamy condiments like Caesar dressing and mayo, stuff like that, to

That’s a really good point, that carbs don’t necessarily equal high blood sugar. I know I should look at carbs minus fibre, not just total carbs, but I often forget. Beans are a great suggestion, thank you. :)

Every now and then I consider reducing my meat/dairy consumption, but I have no idea how to go about it because my doctor has me on a low carb diet for my cholesterol, and it seems like all the plant based protein-y and fatty foods are very carby. A couple times I’ve googled “vegan keto” on a whim and found stuff

There’s actually another option. When I used to say “It’s not fair,” my dad would say “Well, life’s not fair.” And that was the end of that.

This is really interesting, because I had the opposite experience when I quit one of my first jobs. My boss had previously been a bully who corrects others’ behaviour by yelling, swearing, and intimidating, but as soon as I gave notice he was suddenly my best friend and couldn’t be nicer. He kept offering me things -

Thanks to your mention of it, I bought Game Dev Tycoon. I’ve been playing it all morning and really enjoying it! Great fun!

I’m good at things that have immediate consequences (laundry, dishes, garbage, watering the plants) but bad at things that don’t (dusting, vacuuming, windows etc). I’m not sure what to do about that. I move into a nice clean house, don’t see anything that needs urgent attention, and then I look up 6 years later and

Not at all!

Thoroughly clean the humidifier once a week. It has a filter I change regularly, how bad could it be? Also, the manual says to use a bleach solution to clean it and I can’t help thinking I’m probably not that good at rinsing it and I’m probably inhaling bleach. >_<

The advice in this article makes a lot of sense to me. I do think though that the advice to be honest about your negative feelings should come with a qualifier that there are inappropriate times to be negative, and you probably need to build some sort of familiarity with a person before being negative with them.

It took five days but I got to a check in where Woebot had me think through various anxieties and reword them to be more realistic and it was actually really helpful. I think it’s a lot pricier than I want to pay for but at this point if it was cheaper I would subscribe.

Am I the only one who finds my waist is a totally different size when I’m standing than sitting, so a belt is either too tight when sitting or too loose when standing?

Oh I have checked again and the buttons are there now! So I won’t be sending a screenshot. It was only an issue when I first typed in “Get started” and it asked if I could see the buttons.

I see that the creator of the bot is reading these comments and I just wanted to let you know I couldn’t see the response buttons I had to click when I was in Chrome on my MacBook but it worked fine when I switched to my iPhone.
